In between all the weekend trips and
adventures, I really do work. J I love my kids and can’t even begin to
explain all that I’ve learned working here this year.
We learned and presented about life in
the 13 colonies.

The costumes were adorable. |

One group of students created a board game with facts they learned about colonial life. They loved testing the parents. |
|
colonial toys: whirligig and catch-and-toss |
|
We made homemade butter. |

We read a book together via skype with a
3rd grade class in Chapel Hill for World Read Aloud Day. Then, they mailed us this awesome project they
made about the book!
Group Work!
The National Botanical Garden hosted a
special exhibit about dinosaurs. Although
the kids cared more about when we were eating lunch than learning about the
dinosaurs, it was a fun field trip.
This is a song and hand motions we
learned about prepositions.
